Rebustelli

Rebustelli Srl is a solid Brescia-based company specialising in the manufacture of slatted bed bases with metal or all-wood frames.

Its strong production capacity, combined with a wide variety of workmanship, places Rebustelli Srl among the reference points for those seeking a distinctive product, a made-to-measure service and a competitive price.

Thanks to a marked flexibility and an important number of logistical solutions, apparently distant worlds emerge between customers; from the high-end furniture manufacturer to the international mattress manufacturer, from the specialised shop to the bed manufacturer.

The vast experience accumulated over the years allows Rebustelli Srl to use only the best raw materials, supplied by the best partners in Italy and abroad, obtaining an extremely reliable and resistant finished product.

The company also pays particular attention to new technologies, constantly searching for the best solutions to perfect and refine what is already a winning product.

The story

It was 1950 when Pietro Rebustelli, a lively teenager born in Gussago in the province of Brescia, started making bed bases with his father.

The business was initially based on predominantly manual workmanship, the result of which was a substantially crude and approximate product when compared to today’s standards, but the strong population growth and economic boom after the first post-war period enabled the first results to be achieved and built the economic base for subsequent development.

At the age of 18, Pietro Rebustelli split from his father and founded Retiflex Snc, where he began to apply new processing techniques that would improve productivity, consequently increasing the number of Reti Letto manufactured and delivered at the end of the month.

These are hectic years, demand grows, and time passes quickly.

Between 1968 and 1977 their children Edoardo, Mauro and Emanuela, the current owners and company directors, were born.

In the meantime, Pietro continued the business and took on the first employees, the backyard was still the setting in which everything happened and from the same door the trucks of raw materials entered and the vans with the (mesh) nets to be distributed came out.

In 1988, Retiflex abandoned the house-workshop in Casaglio and moved to a real industrial building a few kilometres away. A few months later the painting plant was installed, at a cost of 150 million lire (about 75000 € at the exchange rate, today at least 600000 € would be needed).

In 1996, sons Mauro and Edoardo took over from father Pietro, who retired in 2001.

After finishing her studies, Emanuela, the youngest daughter, took on the role of accountant, which she still holds today.

It was in 2004 that an important turning point was reached; metal mesh bed bases were definitively discontinued and a completely wooden slatted floor was introduced.

In the following twenty years, the machine park was completed and perfected, with the addition of five new working and packaging areas.

In 2012, the production of all-wood bed bases (fixed manual and motorised) will begin, also thanks to the installation of two latest-generation numerical control plants.

Between 2013 and 2024, four more buildings will be annexed to the first shed, with a view to constant and gradual growth, fuelled by the passion that still characterises the company and its directors.

Production headquarters

The beating heart of the company. This is where the raw materials are brought, which step by step will be transformed into the finished product. Once packaged, it will be ready to reach the Logistics Centre.

Logistic center

The finished and packaged product, after leaving the production site, reaches this location where it is temporarily positioned, respecting the logic of optimising space and facilitating loading times, for pick-ups or dispatch to the end customer.

Storage Wharehouse

Area dedicated to the storage of raw materials, which will be processed and/or assembled at the production site. Each incoming item is inspected and registered, to certify its quality and conformity; only then can it become a Rebustelli product.

Bed Bases

Within a sleep system, the quality of the bed base is an aspect that is sometimes underestimated, but is actually of primary importance.

It is the structural element par excellence of the entire bed; it allows the mattress to work at its best, giving it the right contrasting plane and enhancing its characteristics.

However, this is only of value if we consider quality bed bases, because an excellent mattress on a poor bed base will look like a poor mattress.

Recognising the value of a bedspring is not easy for the untrained eye, however, as resistance and functionality are often based on details and hidden elements: number and quality of the slats, thickness of the frame, assembly systems, etc.

Relying on a recognised and qualified manufacturer, such as Rebustelli srl, is therefore fundamental; for over 50 years it has been building products using only excellent materials and the best techniques, making a great contribution to the sleep of thousands of people, in Italy and abroad.
